The Bar Bag

We wanted a bar bag, so we created one to suit our exact needs. Too often, we found ourselves over-stuffing pockets on long rides or leaving crucial items behind all together. We wanted the luxury of being able to carry everything we "need" along with a purpose built 'gramming holster on all of our adventures. After prototyping for about a year, we landed on our final version, and are stoked to finally launch our newest product - The Bar Bag.

This is for the cold morning coffee jaunts, afternoon burrito boogies and sunset soirées. Strap it to your race bike, cross bike, dad bike, fat bike, or whatever, it’ll do the job as long as it’s on some handlebars. The Bar Bag has enough room for some food and a few warm layers, or a bag of coffee beans and some donuts, or three cold beers and a camera. It features two accessory pockets on the outside designed for quick, one-handed access to your Instacameras and music machines (yes, we designed a pocket to make it easier to Instagram on-the-go). Made from heavy duty, custom printed nylon canvas, with a rigid inner structure, The Bar Bag will stand the test of time.

We worked to design and test many prototypes (some pictured around this text) over the course of about a year. We tested on different bikes, on different setups, over different terrain, and had some thorough testing in the realm of how many donuts fit, ease of attachment, and which beer vessels do or do not fit in the bar bag (cans work best). In the end, we distilled the bag's size and features into a bag that would be a great addition to any cyclist's gear collection.

This suits our exact needs. We needed a bag that was small enough to make sense everyday, but big enough to do the job. Done. One of our proudest features though, is the Gram Pocket. Yeah, you might think it strange, but we spent months perfecting the perfect one handed strap mechanism so you can 'gram on the go. Gram away, but Gram responsibly.

We know Bar Bagging is pretty new to most of the world, so here's a brief intro. First off, you don't have to be touring or camping to Bar Bag. Embrace the idea of Bar Bagging, free your pockets from their burden and give up on your aero efficiency obsessions. From there it gets pretty simple. Pick your bike, Strap It, Wrap It, Pack It, then get on the road and Gram It. Get to your destination and wonder how you ever lived before learning to Bar Bag.
